Chapter 1: The Day He Didn't Break

"Maybe advanced science isn't for you."
The sickening crash of the carefully crafted solar system model hitting the bottom of the trash bin silenced the entire classroom.
Mr.
Vance ran his science lab like a dictatorship.
He couldn't stand it when a student he had already written off managed to outshine the rest of the class.
Even though the teenager had just earned a flawless grade on the assignment the day before, Vance arbitrarily decided to revoke it, violently dumping the intricate project into the garbage.
He leaned over the boy with a cruel, condescending sneer, fully expecting him to break down in tears or lash out in anger and earn himself a suspension.
Instead, the student didn't even flinch.
He didn't yell, and he didn't scramble to defend himself.
With an eerie, unbreakable calm, he simply knelt down and began pulling the broken pieces of his project out of the trash.
He didn't need to say a single word, because he knew he wasn't the only one in the room disgusted by the teacher's blatant cruelty.
While Mr.
Vance was completely consumed by his arrogant power trip, a classmate seated at the nearest lab table hadn't frozen in fear.
Hidden in plain sight, he calmly pulled out his smartphone and perfectly framed the unprovoked bullying, snapping a crystal-clear photo of the teacher towering over the kneeling student.
With two quick taps, he didn't just save the evidence — he uploaded it directly to the district's public Student Council forum.
The sharp, undeniable *click* of the camera shutter pierced the dead silence of the lab.
Mr.
Vance froze.
The arrogant color instantly drained from his face as he slowly turned around.
His eyes locked onto the glowing screen in sheer, bug-eyed terror as he realized his untouchable reign was permanently over.
