Chapter 1: The Pit
A 4-year-old girl was crying at the bottom of an open dirt pit when her mother found her.
She wasn't buried.
She had been left down there—alone.
"Mommy!" the little girl screamed, stretching both tiny arms toward her.
Her mother didn't even stop to ask what happened.
She ran.
Dropped to her knees.
Reached into the pit and pulled her trembling daughter into her arms.
The little girl buried her face against her mother's chest, sobbing so hard she could barely breathe.
Then her mother looked up.
And saw the woman standing beside the hole.
Watching.
Her fear disappeared.
Something else took its place.
She gently moved her daughter behind her, walked straight toward the woman—
SL\*P.
But what happened next revealed that the pit was only the beginning.
Because this wasn't just about a cruel act against a little girl.
It was about a family that had spent years deciding which woman deserved to be called her mother.
And the little girl was about to expose the secret none of them wanted her to tell.
