Vanessa reached the laptop.
But Graham got there first.
He pressed his hand flat against the table and looked at her the way you look at a stranger.
"Don't touch it."
Vanessa's voice dropped to a whisper only the front tables could hear.
"Graham, please.
I can explain everything."
"You said that about the phone calls.
You said that about the hotel receipt." He didn't raise his voice.
"Start explaining."
She reached for his arm.
He stepped back.
On the screen, the document was still visible.
I moved closer.
My hands were shaking.
The signature was mine.
But the date beneath it was wrong.
It was dated two weeks after my divorce was finalized — two weeks after I had already signed everything and walked away with nothing.
Someone had used my name again.
Graham turned to me slowly.
"Claire.
Do you know what this document is?"
Before I could answer, my mother stepped forward.
"This has gone far enough." Her voice was sharp.
"Claire, take Lily and go home.
Don't do this to your sister on her wedding day."
Lily was still standing at the microphone.
She hadn't moved.
She looked at my mother and said, very quietly:
"There's a second video."
The room went completely still.
Vanessa's face went white.
