Chapter 1: The Woman Who Didn't Belong
Vanessa Dragged Amelia Through The Luxury Resort Lobby With A Chain.
The wealthy guests stared at her like she did not belong.
Then Vanessa spotted her.
Instead of asking who she was, Vanessa grabbed a thin metal chain and threw it loosely around Amelia's neckline.
She dragged her across the marble lobby in front of everyone.
"People like you don't belong here."
Amelia stumbled.
Guests filmed.
The manager looked away.
But Amelia did not beg.
She planted one foot on the marble floor and stopped moving.
When Vanessa raised her hand to sl\*p her, Amelia caught her wrist.
Then she pulled a black-and-gold badge from inside her coat.
The scanner flashed.
The doors locked.
The lights turned red.
"Founder Override Activated."
The manager went pale.
