The medical team arrived within minutes.
As they lifted Khloe onto the gurney, she grabbed her uncle Richard's sleeve.
"Don't let her leave," she whispered.
"Don't let either of them leave."
Richard's jaw tightened.
He turned to the two security officers behind him and gave one quiet nod.
Nobody was going anywhere.
Isabella was still performing.
Tears streaming, voice trembling, one hand pressed to her chest like she was the one who had been h*rt.
"I was defending myself," she told Marcus.
"She came at me first.
You have to believe me."
Marcus said nothing.
He was staring at the monitor in the corner of the room — the one the head of security had quietly turned to face him.
The footage was already playing.
Every shove.
Every blow.
Every second.
His face went completely still.
Then Richard spoke.
"We also found this." He held up a phone in a clear evidence bag.
"It was in her purse.
The last message sent — twenty minutes before the gala ended."
Marcus looked at the screen.
His expression didn't show anger.
It showed something far worse.
Recognition.
Because the name on that message wasn't Isabella's contact.
It was his.
