I drove to the airport without looking back.
No tears.
No second thoughts.
The fifty million would clear by morning, and my attorney had already arranged temporary housing in Santa Monica.
I had planned every detail three days ago, the same night I found the pin in Charles's coat pocket and finally understood how long the lie had been running.

I almost ignored it.

A photograph.
One page of a document I had never seen before.
My name was on it.
So was a number that had nothing to do with fifty million dollars.
My hands went still.
Charles hadn't just offered me a settlement.
He had made sure I would never find out what I was actually worth.
---
What was really in that document — and what did Charles hide from Hannah before she signed?
