Chapter 2: The Letter She Was Never Supposed to Find

Part 2 ⬇️
The ballroom went silent.
Victoria didn't move.
Then her expression shifted — not to shame, but to fury.
"Those children are lying," she said, loud enough for every guest to hear.
"Clara is unstable.
She's done this before.
Adrian, don't let her ruin everything we built."
Adrian didn't look at Victoria.
He was looking at the necklace.
His hands were shaking.
"Where did you get this?" he asked Clara quietly.
"Mama gave it to me," Clara whispered.
"Before she went away.
She said if anything happened to us, I had to find you.
She said you didn't know about Mia."
Adrian's jaw tightened.
He turned to Victoria.
"Elena told me she lost the baby," he said slowly.
"You were there.
You were the one who told me."
Victoria's chin lifted.
"She was confused.
She was sick.
You know that."
"She wasn't confused," Clara said.
"She wrote it all down."
She reached into the small bag on her shoulder and pulled out a folded letter.
Victoria's face went white.
Whatever was written in that letter — she already knew.
And she knew it was enough to destroy her.
---
What Clara read from that letter left the entire room in shock.
